Most people who walk in here have had a bad morning. Somebody hit them, or they hit something, and now there's an insurance company on the phone and a car they can't drive. What wears people out is the claim: waiting on the estimate, the adjuster, and a date when the car comes back. We take that off you.

Chris and Gordy do the auto body work, so when you talk about the estimate you're talking to someone who will actually repair the car. Nothing gets promised in the front office that the back of the shop hasn't agreed to.

We work with every major insurance company, and we've never needed to be on a "preferred" list to do it. Our estimates are accurate and the work comes back right the first time. Under Michigan law, you pick the shop.

The shop is set up to do the whole job in-house: structural measurement, panel work, paint and refinishing in downdraft booths, and glass. Nothing gets farmed out and shuttled around town while you wait. Between Gordy and Chris that's over 30 years of combined experience on the floor.

Spanky's Collision Repair is a family-owned auto body shop at 3300 24th Ave, Hudsonville, Michigan 49426, in Ottawa County. Chris Burns and his father Gordon "Gordy" Burns both do the auto body work; Chris's mother Melissa runs the front office. Structural damage is measured against factory dimensions using the Shark measuring system; refinishing is done in downdraft spray booths using the Standox paint system, with color matched to the vehicle's factory paint code. Written estimates are free, and rental car availability is offered.
